I am impressed by the ropes feel and handling right off the factory loop. Purchase it and head to the crag! The rope is stiff but not too stiff, and soft but not too soft. It provides a comfortable catch without sheath slippage, per Sterling’s literature, the XEROS process to treat individual yarn reduces such issues. The availability of bicolor is a big plus, although the mid-marker on the single color rope can be improved. The only issue I experienced while reviewing this rope was..." go to full review

Trango Prism harness can be a great training workhorse harness at the gym and also when sending hard outdoors. It also works for different body types. Make sure to choose the brightest color possible to stand out in the crowd.go to full review

This being the first piece of gear I’ve ever used from Trango, I went into this test with no expectations. When you first open the package, the strikingly bright pink color jumps out at you. I love bright gear, I find it mentally helps me when I’m pumped out and on the verge of falling. I can look down and easily follow my rope all the way to my belayer. At times this gives me the little extra confidence needed to keep on pushing a little longer. This alone might make it the first rope I..." go to full review

The Trango Agility 9.1mm is a well-rounded rope, but without its innovative RED FLAG features, I would consider the rope pretty average. With the outdoors booming thanks to COVID, outdoor gear has also been booming and innovating quickly. The Agility isn’t necessarily lighter, more durable, or more innovative than its competition.  However, for the price and the features, the Trango Agility should definitely be one of your considerations! I look forward to my Agility proving me wrong the..." go to full review

The Trango Horizon Harness really is a perfect all-around climbing harness so if you are looking for a do it all harness, just getting into climbing, or looking for something a little more comfortable than an unpadded alpine harness then look no further than the Horizon! The Horizon is threatening all my other harnesses to become my go-to no matter the objective in the future.go to full review

I am an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor in western North Carolina, so I want only the best for my clients. The BD C4s are equipped with a solid cable loop that makes them a long-lasting, dependable piece of gear. I never want to be doubting the gear that I put my clients on every day, so I use BD C4s largely due to the fact that these cams have been widely trusted for generations and continue to prove their dependability. As long as you take care of your cams and keep them clean (which is..." go to full review

Yes, its that good! This harness nailed all of the boxes. Lightweight… check, durable… check, packable… check, comfortable… check. Wilc country crafted a wonderful product. This lightweight-yet-durable harness is a sport climber’s dream and it really excels when it comes to those two categories. There is only one thing that I could say that they could have done differently — swap the plastic clips on the back of the legs for something that is a little more durable. Other than that, there is..." go to full review

Overall, the Swift Protect Pro Dry 8.9 blew my mind.  There is nothing else on the market like it, and I can’t believe that it took rope companies this long to figure something like this out. Since I’ve started climbing, rope innovation has mainly involved them just getting incrementally skinnier.  As a gear nerd, the introduction of aramid has me really excited about what the future of climbing ropes will look like.  I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for the ultimate alpine..." go to full review

I love my Scarpa Vapor V’s. They perform almost as well as any style-specific shoe (with the exception of crack climbing), and are easily the most versatile pair I own. They’re comfortable, breathable, sticky, and durable. If I have to pick any one pair of shoes for a day at the crag, these are usually my first choice.go to full review

Designed as a ‘comfort performance shoe,’ the Scarpa Vapor Vs are ready to take on any challenge that you throw at them. These great all-around shoes are versatile enough to excel at everything from steep faces to crack climbing, while keeping your feet happy for those lengthy climbing sessions. A slightly wider-than-average toe box may lead to sizing issues for some users, but if you can dial in the sizing, the Scarpa Vapor V may just become your new favorite shoe.go to full review
