At this price range, it is hard to find a shoe that performs as admirably as the Unparallel UpMocc. With budget-climbing shoes, the trade-off is often either lower-grade rubber compounds, which defeats their ability to smear, or thicker soles for durability, which can hinder sensitivity and precision. The inexpensive UpMocc, on the other hand, is built with an ultra-sticky rubber, inspiring confidence on small holds of all varieties, both outside and in the gym. Depending on how you size the shoe, it's a great option for long trad routes or for getting some laps in at the gym. While the price is right, there is something for everyone to like about the UpMocc.
If, like me, you loved the original Mocc, but were bitterly disappointed by the NIAD Mocc, then look no further - the Up Mocc could well be the shoe that you've been waiting for. The updates to its design have actually improved the shoe too, with the toe patch being a genuinely good feature both for boulderers and trad/crack climbers alike.
