HIGH-END TECHNICAL
The Matador VCR was designed by Stefan Glowacz for routes with true high end technical climbing, not just power campusing. The down-turned shaped is designed to crush overhangs while the pre-tensioned midsole still allows it to perform at a surprisingly high level on more vertical terrain. The synthetic upper combines with a full toe cap to virtually eliminate stretch over time. Grippy RX2 rubber strikes the right balance between grip, sensitivity and big route durability.

All in all I am impressed with the Matadors. They are an excellent choice for steep sport routes and boulder problems as well as the climbing wall. The rubber is sticky but wears quickly, the fit is precise and the heel excellent. A specialist shoe but well worth a look!
