Description

Over 20 years ago in 1999, well ahead of its time; one of the lightest and most sensitive climbing shoes with No-Edge™ technology was developed - that shoe was the Mantra. Now, in 2024, the third iteration of the Mantra is being reintroduced with the latest technological advancements and remains to be one of the lightest and most sensitive shoes in the market and within La Sportiva’s line of shoes. Slip your foot in and the performance and comfort will become your new climbing mantra.

• Patented No-Edge™ technology gives you the ultimate rubber-to-foothold contact area for maximum friction on the widest variety of foothold shapes. Compared to a traditionally edged shoe, the rounded toe allows for enhanced sensitivity, precision, and grip as the foot conforms more closely to the irregularities found on footholds.
• Enjoy increased rubber longevity as the toe profile spreads wears more evenly.
• With a deconstructed upper and sole thickness reduced to a minimum, the foot’s proximity to rock surfaces is maximized.
• The absence of a midsole allows easy movement of your toes both up and down for total forefoot control and increased grip on large volumes in the gym.
• For modern competition climbing and futuristic maneuvers.

No Edge Concept™ Technology

No Edge Concept™

The No-edge concept eliminates the traditional "edges" of the sole. This allows the foot to come into closer contact with the rock surface. Thus enhancing foot sensitivity and allowing optimum contact on the hold. With the No-edge construction, climbing becomes more fluid, instinctive and harmonious.
P3® Technology

P3®

Permanent Power Platform used in climbing shoes to maintain the downturned shape of the shoe for the life of the shoe.

Slip Lasted

The method of footwear construction in which the upper is sewn into a sock and then slipped onto the last. Slip lasted shoes normally do not have an insole and get their "stiffness" from the midsole which is located just above the outsole. Slip lasted rock climbing shoes tend to be sensitive like the Mythos and Cobra and less stiff than board lasted shoes.
VIBRAM® XS Grip2 Technology

VIBRAM® XS Grip2

Represents the natural evolution of VIBRAM® XS Grip, the new XS Grip2 delivers highly improved grip, while maintaining consistent performance in all temperatures. XS Grip 2 is the best solution in pure friction situations while remaining durable and even-wearing.
