Finale Men

My vote: None ( 5 avg )

When you’re looking for a climbing shoe that is juuuust right, go ahead and reach for the Finale - a shoe known for its reliability and sublime all-day comfort that’s equally capable in the gym or at the crag. It might be known as an “entry level shoe” but with La Sportiva’s LasoFlex midsole, tensioned rand, Vibram® XS Edge™ outsole and slight downturn shape, it certainly doesn’t act like one.

• 40% of the shoes’ weight are eco components (laces, webbing, microfiber eyestay and leather) and contribute to a reduced environmental impact
• Eco leather utilizes an ecological tanning process free of heavy metals and is biodegradable
• Soft, unlined leather uppers stretch and mold to the contours of your feet offering a snug fit for excellent performance
• Highly breathable padded mesh tongue with wicking cotton lining supports all-day comfort

Looser fit than other La Sportiva shoes. Try half size down if ordering them.

An awesome shoe overall. I had tried these after using TC Pros for a few months so I was spoiled. These shoes are super comfortable and great with fist width crack climbing. The laces offer wide feet to flourish and double tags help getting the shoes on.

Edging is hard so as expected thin cracks aren't great but an awesome shoe for the price. 9/10 would try again.

Outdoor Gear Lab Gear Review rating 4.5/5

When it comes to rock climbing performance, footwear is arguably the single most important piece of gear. However, sticky rubber wears out quickly so climbing shoes are one of the highest recurring costs for regular climbers. The La Sportiva Finale presents a two-prong way to reduce those costs — it's available at an affordable retail price and the durability advantage of its thicker rubber means that you should wear through a pair less quickly. Although its performance cannot quite match some premium models, we still think this is a model worth considering by anyone searching for an excellent value.
