Solid draw depending on the application

Pros
Lightweight
The opposite of bulky
Inexpensive
Cons
Not ideal for hangdogging sport climbs
Familiarity
I’ve used it a ton

I mostly use these draws for ice and trad climbing, which is where they shine. They are extremely lightweight and low-bulk, and they can still be manipulated while wearing thin or midweight gloves.

The thin dogbones and smaller carabiners aren't ideal for hangdogging hard sport routes, but there are plenty of draws better-suited for that. These guys are solid little draws.

Outdoor Gear Lab Gear Review rating 3/5

The Trango Phase Quickdraws are compelling due to their super lightweight, but in truth, they are one of the hardest quickdraws to use that we have tested, and are thus not worthy of our recommendation.

The name comes from the versatile design intention, to be used for any and all phases of climbing, whether it’s clipping bolts, fiddling micro-wires into granite seams, or leading a block of pitches on a High Sierra wall. Five inches of Dyneema link two ultralight wire-gate carabiners (just over 1 oz., rated to 24kN on the major axis). A raised rib along the spine made them easy to handle under pressure, giving a boost of friction in sweaty hands. After deploying this draw on rock climbs in Colorado’s Clear Creek Canyon and ice routes in the nearby Indian Peaks, one tester said, “The subtle bend in the biners’ gates made them quick to clip, even while wearing light gloves.” Thin dogbones make them less than ideal for grabbing when hangdogging, and narrow biners might be too hard on a rope for working a route.
