A bit short....(who hasn't heard that before!?)by anonymous on 03/29/2020
I have used these on alipne routes, on trad crags and on a few occasions on sport routes.
All in all they are excellent, I always think that the best gear is the gear that you never notice - and I have never noticed these, not just because of their lightweight design but I have never found them too fiddly with or without gloves on, the 'rope' and 'gear' ends are easily recogisable (much more so than on the alpine version - the version with a longer sling as a dogbone). My only gripe would be that they are on the short side. Especially if you are extending cams from within cracks. That shortness obvisouly keeps the weight done but with a 3cm longer dog bone they would be perfect (they unfortunetly don't do a longer verison) and would weigh practically the same.
