The Impulse is our top-level rock climbing harness. It features innovative Smart Webbing Technology that distributes pressure uniformly over the entire surface of the harness for the best comfort and perforated EVA foam with soft 3D mesh for exceptional breathability. The waist is adjusted with a secure stainless steel auto-locking buckle. Fixed leg loops feature our signature DeltaFrame construction to maximize comfort while hanging. Four contoured gear loops keep gear at the ready. The differentiated color belay loop, drop seat buckles and a haul loop with an integrated chalk bag loop round out the features on this high-performance harness.

The UIAA equipment standard provides a baseline for equipment performance in a test lab under controlled conditions on new equipment. Although these test conditions are relevant to the conditions encountered climbing, conditions encountered at the crags and the condition of the equipment are equally important. This recommendation from the UIAA member federation The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) provides vital equipment information that is NOT explicitly addressed in the standard, particularly failure modes of the equipment and recommendations for the use, inspection, maintenance, and retirement of equipment.
