Description

The most compact single-point crampon on the market, designed for technical mountaineering.

The horizontal single-point version of the Harfang Alpine crampon.
Thanks to its monopoint design, the HARFANG MONO offers great stability on snow and ice and technical precision for mixed climbing. Combined with the versatility of its front points, this makes it the ideal crampon for big mountaineering objectives and technical alpine routes.

The front part is asymmetrical for a perfect balance and high-performance.
In keeping with the Harfang family, its patented system based on a central textile strap linking the front and rear sections makes the crampon ultra-compact.
It fits all mountain boots with toe and heels welts.

For compatibility with ski boots, add the "Stardard toe bail" attachment system, sold separately.
Comes with two attachment systems: automatic and semi-automatic.

• Chromoly steel front and rear rails
• Front rails are asymetric to optimize fit on modern boots
• One main horizontal front point with a short secondary one for optimized performance in technical Alpine terrain
• 3 sets of holes for a wide range of bail adjustment
• Link between rails with same wide textile strap as the rest of the Harfang line
• Heel Lever with micro adjustment
• Comes with Automatic toe bail and semi-auto toe basket
• TPU Active ABS to prevent snow bailling
• PPE : Return not allowed

Certification

Certifications

The main climbing gear certifications are CE and UIAA--and normally the UIAA creates the rules that the CE body also supports. When possible, we try to list all the certifications the product carries.

To sell a climbing product in Europe, the device must be CE certified. There are no official requirements to sell climbing gear in the US. The UIAA certification is a voluntary process.

The UIAA equipment standard provides a baseline for equipment performance in a test lab under controlled conditions on new equipment. Although these test conditions are relevant to the conditions encountered climbing, conditions encountered at the crags and the condition of the equipment are equally important. This recommendation from the UIAA member federation The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) provides vital equipment information that is NOT explicitly addressed in the standard, particularly failure modes of the equipment and recommendations for the use, inspection, maintenance, and retirement of equipment.
