These boots are the ideal choice for expeditions where an excellent thermal insulation and sensitivity are required. These mountaineering boots guarantee dry feet and an optimum climatic comfort independent of the external weather conditions thanks to the best technical innovations including a double GORE-TEX technology: lining in GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort and a GORE-TEX performance comfort tongue. This model has been certified by the CIMAC institute for temperatures up to -20°C (in a static environment), but during use in movement the mountaineer can brave more rigid temperatures up to -30°C. The high gaiter and the YKK zip are another barrier against water and snow, which together with an upper made from Cordura® and Microfiber, make these boots very thermally insulated. Not only: the double intensity PU wedge offers good shock absorbency and lightness that together with a carbon fibre Zamberlan® insole and a the new Vibram® Penia sole offer a better grip. Another enviable feature is the rubber, protective band that protects the boots against scratches and lacerations. The 4000 EIGER EVO GTX RR mountaineering boots are compatible with automatic crampons.
