Description

LOWA's most technical mixed-route alpine boot, the Weisshorn GTX® is a great all-arounder, perfect for a trip to Mt. Rainier or the Canadian Rockies. The FLEXFIT-SYNCHRO articulated ankle design allows for easy ankle flex in steep, glaciated terrain. The Double Tongue design, with a removable & adjustable inner tongue creates a perfect fit across the top of the foot, while foot-hold and lacing is enhanced with the I-LOCK lacing cam. The I-CORE sole insert reduces weight, provides rigidity. Durably waterproof/breathable, automatic crampon-compatible and made on a women's-specific last.

These kept our testers feet nice and warm even when the temperatures were well below freezing. The tall thick rubber rand kept crampon damage in check. Good lace systems and comfortable footbed and lining.  The sizing is is standard and normal so you can order online with confidence. The Lowa Weisshorn GTX is definitely a keeper. A great boot that is at home on ice and alpine routes.
