Familiarity
I’ve used it a bunch

Very comfortable. I originally bought a 41 from Eastern Mountain Sports  for around $178. But needed a 42 and miraculously I found a pair on on Facebook Marketplace for $50. I consigned the 41s at IME in North Conway.

I wore these boots on the Matterhorn in late September and they were the perfect tool for the job. Warm enough and dextrous enough with their 3/4 shank. Nimble enough for the hike up to Hornlihutte from Schwartze.

Lacing is good and durability seems to be there. Compared to La Sportiva Trango Tech Leathers, these have a wider fit and, despite being thicker, heavier and warmer, more walkable. The wider toe box worked well for me over the Trango Tech Leathers. Though I like both boots. I think these are more durable, but will be too hot for true summer mountaineering. Same tier as Scarpa Charmoz boot but I haven't worn those so I can't compare.
