Boreal Maipo Mountaineering Boot

no ratings

Maipo is built to last. The upper is made from thick premium quality split leather and has a very generous full length protective PU rand and rubber toe-cap. Combined with our unique co-moulded FDS-3 outsole Maipo is built tough and is understandably very popular with mountain professionals who demand the highest performance and reliability.

Maipo is non-insulated and so is ideally suited to summer alpine use when highly insulated boots are often too warm, or for lower altitude winter mountaineering in less severe temperatures. The tough 2.6mm split leather upper is lined with our unique Dry-Line® system, which is fully waterproof and has superior moisture vapour transfer performance to help keep your feet dry in all weathers.

Maipo is crampon compatible and is suitable for less technical winter climbing and glacial travel as well as being great for scrambling, mountain walking and general summer alpinism. Our proven FDS-3 outsole is co-moulded with three different density rubber compounds and offers unrivalled reliability and grip.
