Just got one of these out of curiosity. Haven't used it for real yet, just playing around on the home wall and was impressed so figured I'd put something out there for the fellow nerds. Mostly coming here to say that they mean it with the aggressive friction grooves!  The teeth are aggressive, and the notches go down to a tight V so there's a lot of pinching action too.  I plugged a Pur line into this and had no problem holding myself on rappel on the home wall. Grabs thin half ropes really well, and guide mode feeds decently smoothly because of the way the teeth are angled. Even tolerates ropes bigger than the stated size; it seems to handle guide mode okay up to about 9.2mm.  I'm curious to see if the aggressive friction grooves cause faster wear and tear on my ropes.
