Trango Prism harness can be a great training workhorse harness at the gym and also when sending hard outdoors. It also works for different body types. Make sure to choose the brightest color possible to stand out in the crowd.go to full review

This being the first piece of gear I’ve ever used from Trango, I went into this test with no expectations. When you first open the package, the strikingly bright pink color jumps out at you. I love bright gear, I find it mentally helps me when I’m pumped out and on the verge of falling. I can look down and easily follow my rope all the way to my belayer. At times this gives me the little extra confidence needed to keep on pushing a little longer. This alone might make it the first rope I..." go to full review

The Trango Agility 9.1mm is a well-rounded rope, but without its innovative RED FLAG features, I would consider the rope pretty average. With the outdoors booming thanks to COVID, outdoor gear has also been booming and innovating quickly. The Agility isn’t necessarily lighter, more durable, or more innovative than its competition.  However, for the price and the features, the Trango Agility should definitely be one of your considerations! I look forward to my Agility proving me wrong the..." go to full review

The Trango Horizon Harness really is a perfect all-around climbing harness so if you are looking for a do it all harness, just getting into climbing, or looking for something a little more comfortable than an unpadded alpine harness then look no further than the Horizon! The Horizon is threatening all my other harnesses to become my go-to no matter the objective in the future.go to full review

After two months of wear, the Boostic continues to not only deliver the kind of performance I’ve come to expect from Scarpa shoes, but actually surpass it. Edging, smearing, heel-hooking, and toe-hooking are a dream—on the steeps, slabs and everything in between. This is my top pick for a climbing shoe that does it all, really well.go to full review

The real show-stopper for this rope is the bold bi-pattern color scheme: half the cord is red and half is blue. I’ve gotten tons of comments from other climbers who love this design, which makes identifying the middle as easy as can be. Most bi-pattern climbing ropes on the market retain the same colors but just switch up the design. The Tommy Caldwell Eco Dry Color Tec 9.3mm stands out with this really stark color shift. I would have no problem calling this rope the best bi-pattern climbing..." go to full review

If you already own a relatively new Grigri, there’s no real rush to run out and buy a Petzl GriGri+. The Grigri is a fantastic and totally safe belay device. However, I would absolutely consider making the GriGri+ the next one you get because it’s even more fantastic and safer by a significant degree.go to full review

All in all, the Edelrid Swift Protect Pro dry rope seems like a great step forward for rope design.  But, how does it perform?  When you first use it you are likely to think the rope is fairly stiff.  However,  it soon softens up and works well with any belay devices we have used it with.  The tight weave also inspires confidence that it will be durable and wear resistant.  The other thing to note is that the sheath is quite rough in the hand.  This actually makes gripping the rope very easy..." go to full review

The main advantage, of course, is added security. They can’t offer quite the same level of security as a normal screwgate. They could perhaps be opened if the catch is pulled down from above. Then the gate could come open as normal if pushed from the side. However this would need 2 clear actions in different directions and we consider it low probability this would happen. It is possible though. So, they won’t suit every occasion. They certainly inspire confidence in many situations though...." go to full review
