Description

The Ferrata Tour GTX is a multifunctional, high-alpine mountaineering boot designed for performance on rock, ice and snow. Whether high-alpine routes in mixed terrain or easier tours with glaciated sections, this crampon-compatible boot with customisable volume adjustment impresses with its HANWAG TubeTec Rock sole technology, among other things.

The Ferrata Tour GTX is a partner you know you can rely on. The high-alpine boot combines climbing performance on rock, ice and snow with best-possible hiking comfort. Its versatile, multifunctional nature makes it ideal for high-alpine mountaineering tours in mixed terrain, but also less demanding high-alpine tours with glaciated sections. Its HANWAG TubeTec Rock sole technology is specially designed to cope with the demands of alpine mountaineering. The HANWAG TubeTec Rock midsole deploys the very latest technological advances. Soft PU is packaged inside a robust TPU shell to ensure comfort on ascents and descents, plus exceptional performance on rock, ice and snow. The “tube” made of flexible TPU protects the softer, cushioning polyurethane section. Internal TPU ribs and reinforcements ensure precision and tread stability. The outsole excels with its Vibram Integral Light tread pattern while the reinforced heel and proven Vibram Mont compound ensure excellent traction on mountain descents. In addition, the TPU reinforced climbing zone at the front of the sole gives perfect edging stability at the big toe. What sets the crampon-compatible boot apart? The lower part of the upper is in classic leather for a perfect fit - this is combined with a flexible collar in highly abrasion-resistant polyamide reinforced with PU yarns. This stable, flexible upper allows the required flexibility at the ankle for a precise placement on rock. For high-alpine mountaineering use, the toe area has extra insulation. An additional layer of GORE-TEX Duratherm insulation technology provides maximum thermal insulation. Thanks to its additional footbed this boot allows you to modify the fit and volume accordingly. And the Alpine Wide Last ensures more room at the forefoot for greater comfort, without sacrificing precision and climbing performance.
