Maipo 2019
Description
Maipo is built to last. The upper is made from thick premium quality split leather upper and has a very generous full length protective rubber rand making it extremely tough and durable. Combined with our unique co-moulded FDS-3 outsole Maipo is built to last and is understandably very popular with mountain professionals.
Maipo is non-insulated and so is ideally suited to summer alpine use when highly insulated boots are often too warm, or for lower altitude winter mountaineering in less severe temperatures. Our unique Dry-Line® lining system is fully waterproof and has superior moisture vapour transfer performance to help keep your feet dry in all weathers.
Maipo is crampon compatible and is suitable for less technical winter climbing and glacial travel as well as being great for scrambling, mountain walking and general summer alpinism. Our proven FDS-3 outsole is co-moulded with three different density rubber compounds and offers unrivalled reliability and grip.
