A 3-season alpine boot, the Trango Tower GTX Women's is built for covering a lot of ground. The La Sportiva “One” sole by Vibram® reduces bulk, while abrasion resistant uppers ensure protection in rough terrain.

Tips: La Sportiva recommends that you add one 1/2 size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters. |

As I got the boots late in the season I’ve only been able to put 12 days of hiking, mountaineering and scrambling on them to date. Not enough time to wear them out and provide a detailed durability assessment but I can predict how they’ll perform based on what I’ve seen so far. That being said, the abrasion resistant fabric on the uppers has stood up amazingly well and shows almost no wear.
