Omega Pacific’s new addition to the Tephra Series, we added a durable stainless steel Captive Eye Pin to our hot-forged frame. The rugged pin is replaceable and will hold up to the rigors of professional use in the field. Tephra is the Greek word for erupted elements from a volcano, the unique hot-forged aluminum frame is strong, yet lightweight, indeed one of the finest belay carabiners around. The narrow, low-profile nose and Keylock design make smooth, snag-free connections to rappel devices, webbing, belay and gear loops. The Tephra permits clean and simple racking of a belay device while not in use.
