Description

One Tool to rule them all!

A versatile nut tool designed for Trad, mixed- Sport and Big Wall climbing. Tightens nuts and maillons, wriggles out those obstinate nuts, and the hooked nose grabs onto cam bars in the deepest cracks. The screw driver end helps undo those stubborn knots, works as a pry tool, and finding an additional new use for this multi-tool is not a challenge.

Nut-buster does the job

Pros
Screams home-made, but does the job.
Especially great for the small aid pieces.
Opens beer bottles, digs cat holes, also opens knots
The built in spanner!
Cons
Sharp, so can puncture bags.
Needs separate biner to clip

I designed this tool, but am not anymore associated with the company that makes it:)

After years of unremarkable use it showed its true character when I realised it could get behind the smallest nuts and get them out.  The right amount of curve and the sharp long nose...  just brilliant for aiding.


Saved a new routing day with the built in spanner.  Often used as a marlinspike (guess all but tools could do that).  Opens beer bottles (nicely at that).  The sharp edge works as a great single-tine fork!  There is a cm measurement scale along the side.

Couple of downsides.  Too sharp to be carried inside the bag.  And needs an additional biner to clip it.  Lastly, always too dirty to be used as a spoon without washing first.
Fairly durable, now into its fifth year of use.  Only the black anodised version.  The other one bends too quickly.
