Love Bump/Knuckle Box Technology

Love Bump/Knuckle Box

The combination of the Knuckle Box and Love Bump force your toes into a position of power while remaining incredibly comfortable. The Knuckle Box makes room for your big toe knuckle to rest in a curled position without having to push fabric and rubber out of the way which cause hot spots in other shoes. The Love Bump fills the dead space under your toes while putting much needed energy towards the edging surface. These two features work together to provide an incredible edging platform.
Trax® Rubber Technology

Trax® Rubber

TRAX XT® high friction rubber is formulated to be the highest performing rubber on the market. TRAX-XT®has a perfect balance of high friction and edging power on different types of rock and plastic holds while performing consistently over a wide range of temperatures.
VTR3D Technology

VTR3D

With VTR3D, the “high wear” zone of the rand is thicker, while low wear areas are kept thin to reduce pressure points and hot spots around your foot.

Outdoor Gear Lab Gear Review rating 5/5

Add the Oracle to the ever-expanding list of outstanding climbing shoes. It features a slew of innovative features that enhance performance and comfort, while still being priced for a few dollars less than its closest competitors. Although it's not the best shoe to chose for pockets or cracks, for all other disciplines, it performs excellently.

Outdoor Prolink Gear Review rating 4.7/5

In the past few weeks, I’ve taken them out in the Santa Monica’s a few times, to Bishop, Red Rock, and even bouldering in Joshua Tree. At first I was a bit worried that I would have to be dealing with the laces so much having only worn velcro or slip on shoes for the past seven years, but taking them off is a breeze and, as I stated before, I rarely even spend the time to tie them up because the form hugs my foot so well.

As the name would suggest, the Oracle is a shoe that can answer nearly all the questions asked of it in the vertical arena. It has become my current go to shoe for route climbing, but it’s equally at home in the wall. You may prefer the convenience of Velcro – particularly if you do a lot of indoor climbing or training. If so you might find the Evolv X1 worth a look. But if you want a performance all-rounder, the precision fit given by the lace system, and the all-round versatility of the Oracle is hard to beat.

A new offering in the Evolv ultra performance series, the Oracle is a high-performance downturned lace-up built for steep sport routes, bouldering, and gym climbing. Our tester wore his street-shoe size; while he was concerned that his foot might not fit the agressive last, the shoe expanded nicely when he put them on, and he was able to climb hard right away, on both steeps and vert. “Because of their downturned shape, I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to edge on vertical face,” he says. “But edge they did—I could do hand-foot matches on fingernail edges, without the sole popping off.”
