New for 2017, the comfort and performance of our Joker model has been adapted with a lower volume last shape to fit slimmer feet.
The Joker Wmns features a new super-comfortable semi-asymmetric low-volume last shape with a low tension rand. An upper of high quality split leather and synthetic microfiber with a quick and simple strap closure is combined with a PU Air Net lining for exceptional comfort and a fresh look. A newly developed Zenith Quattro outsole now includes a specially shaped heel cavity filled with shock absorbing EVA for improved under foot cushioning.
The medium stiffness midsole paired with the sticky and durable Zenith Quattro rubber provides the ideal blend of edging support and long-lasting friction. Joker Wmns is superbly versatile. Size normally for all-day comfort on long routes and extended sessions; size down for higher performance.

The IRS system goes a step further in the manufacturing of climbing shoes. This one piece climbing sole never deforms and has a superior fit. We can achieve different thicknesses in the rubber and the one piece construction avoids possible delamination.

In conclusion, the new and improved Boreal Joker is an ideal beginner shoe that is more than capable of working with you to improve your grades. They are very comfortable, robust and the rubber offers good friction as well as being hard wearing. All in all, they are excellent value for money and worth a trip to your local independent climbing shop to try a pair on. If you want even more comfort there is the Joker Plus!
