To open the Sawtooth simply twist the knurled sleeve clockwise and push the gate open. As soon as you let go the Sawtooth automatically closes and locks the gate. And unlike many auto locking carabiners it doesn't easily jam in sand, dirt and ice. This carabiner is Light, Reliable and Strong!
The Sawtooth is the perfect auto locking belay/rappel carabiner. It's single action autolock reduces the margin for error. Its large surface area makes for silky smooth rappels and belays.
