Big Air Bag
Original concept of rolling and folding, which allows the Big Air, despite its 1,80m size, to fold very easily and carry compared to other models of equivalent size. The VERSO concept allows for the choice of landing surface, depending on the height of fall or jump.
The Beal Big Air Pad has a large landing area of 180cm x 100cm but it will roll up to a size that is easily carried around the crag. Beal have included the Verso foam concept in the pad, this means that there are 3 layers of foam, one 50mm thickness of absobtion foam in the middle which is sandwiched by a harder landing foam either side. The landing foam is 30mm thick on the top (coloured) side of the pad and 10mm thick on the under (black) side of the pad. This means that you can use the pad coloured side up when on high problems and then turn it over when working low or roof problems where you may not land on your feet and a softer landing would be benficial.
