Description
The famous original comfort shoe has been updated and refreshed to be better fitting, better looking and is now more sustainable too. Featuring extensive use of recycled materials, the Joker Lace provides the ideal package; outstanding comfort and great performance without costing the earth.
Joker Lace is built on a super-comfortable semi-asymmetric last with a slim fitting and rounded heel and low tension rand. The upper is constructed from high quality split leather and synthetic microfibre, with recycled content on the textile tongue and lining. The innovative lace closure combines a traditional higher friction eyelet closer to the toe, with easy opening low friction ‘speed lace loops’ higher up. This allows fast opening and closure while maintaining the preferred toe fit. The one piece moulded heel is manufactured with recycled rubber, and incorporates a cavity filled with shock absorbing EVA for excellent underfoot cushioning.
The medium stiffness midsole is made with recycled material, and combined with the sticky and durable Zenith Quattro 2.0 outsole provides the ideal blend of edging support and long-lasting friction. From starting out, to long routes, all day wear, performance training and bouldering, no pack is complete without a pair of Joker Lace.

The IRS system goes a step further in the manufacturing of climbing shoes. This one piece climbing sole never deforms and has a superior fit. We can achieve different thicknesses in the rubber and the one piece construction avoids possible delamination.

To describe the Joker as a beginners model would massively undersell a shoe that has the ability to appeal to a much larger audience - that being anyone whose first priority is comfort. For low-mid grade routes and bouldering they're impressively versatile, with just enough stiffness to give a reassuring amount of support, but not too much to strip out the sensitivity. The fact they're made in the EU, and still manage to come in at an affordable price, makes them even more attractive. Unless you're looking for something to push your grade in, we'd suggest giving them some serious consideration.
