DPM Climbing Gear Review no rating given just a review

I have been using these draws for a little over four months now and they have shown to be highly durable for both long sport climbs and thrashing up trad routes. The I-beam stock allows for a wide rope-bearing surface that is easy on ropes while still maintaining strength and low weight. The carabiners, though on the small side, are easy to clip when redlining on your sport climbing project and the whole package is light enough to carry into the mountains. Coupled with the bombproof safety that Metolius is known for, the Bravo wire-gate quickdraw is a solid performer for all climbing pursuits.

Rock and Ice Gear Review rating 4.5/5

The Bravo Wire-Gate Quickdraw is featherlight, one of the very lightest for its size—the biners are not what I’d call full-sized, but neither are they those micro jobs that are limited in utility to clipping bolt hangers. The Bravo with a 5-inch sling weighs, 2.4 ounces.
I did have one qualm with the 7-inch Bravo. The top loop on this size sling has a loose, open cut. When hung on a bolt, the sling can twist and make a difficult clip well … more difficult. I’d opt instead for the shorter (and lighter) 5-inch sling.
Overall, I’m psyched on the Bravos. With 17 of these draws on my harness, I’ll be a whole pound lighter for my next round with Deep Eddie. Take that!

Climbing Gear Review

Svelte, ultralight carabiners tend to slide around in quickdraws, even when the draw is cinched tight with an elastic band or bartacking—this can leave the biner cockeyed and hard to clip. Not so with these Metolius draws, which have a rubber fitting that loops up around the biner and locks it in place (Metolius calls this the JIG). The carabiners on these draws are the Bravo wire-gates, which weigh just over an ounce but test to 24kN (major axis) and an impressive 10kN open-gate strength. “I had no clipping issues whatsoever with everything from my thin 9.1mm rope to a ‘fat’ 10mm,” said one tester. The draws, available in 5- and 7-inch lengths, are sewn from waterresistant Monster webbing (a Dyneema/nylon blend), making them a good choice for ice and alpine routes, too.
