Description

Bouldering is experiencing an unstoppable growth. That’s why we are convinced that climbing slippers have a bright future. When we were developing the Nacho with our Red Chili athletes we were immediately thrilled by its high level of sensitivity for the rock and its sock-like comfort.

The Nacho is a full-blooded slipper and perfects Red Chili’s high-end segment of climbing shoes. As we would expect from a slipper, the Nacho has a very soft and sensitive sole construction. We achieved this by developing a razor-thin, perfectly positioned midsole as well as by reducing pre-tension and developing the toe-patch without any overlaps from the edge rubber.

Socks wear out but the Nacho keeps its form. We use a lightweight synthetic material with extreme low expansion characteristics in this model combined with large patches of elastic material on the upper to guarantee comfortable use of the shoe when putting it on or taking it off.

– Full-blooded slipper.
– Lightweight synthetic material, extreme low expansion characteristics.
– Low pre-tension.
– Toepatch made of one piece with edge rubber.
– Perfect fit on heel.

Climbing Gear Reviews UK Performance 4/5, Style 3/5, Value for Money 4/5

Red Chili Nachos have been a great climbing shoe to use, I have used them for a variety of bouldering situations and they have performed brilliantly for this activity. They will be fine for short sport climbs but your feet may get tired on longer more vertical ones, they would be fine on very steep stalactite cave routes. If you find lace-ups and velcro shoes a pain and like the slipper style you’ll like these.
