The Matador VCR was designed by Stefan Glowacz for routes with true high end technical climbing, not just power campusing. The down-turned shaped is designed to crush overhangs while the pre-tensioned midsole still allows it to perform at a surprisingly high level on more vertical terrain. The synthetic upper combines with a full toe cap to virtually eliminate stretch over time. Grippy RX2 rubber strikes the right balance between grip, sensitivity and big route durability.
An aggressive down-turned shoe designed for difficult bouldering and competition climbing.
Pre-tensioned midsole delivers a high level of performance even on less overhanging terrain.
VCR straps with split overlapping breathable neoprene tongue for precise and simple adjustability.
Synthetic upper with a full rubber toe cap virtually eliminates stretch over time.
Leather foot bed limits slippage inside the shoe on technical routes.

Red Chili considers last information super top secret so we can’t define the last types further than the initials HE-20. But, if you find a Red Chili shoe that fits, any Red Chili shoes with the same last initials will fit your foot in a very similar way.

All in all I am impressed with the Matadors. They are an excellent choice for steep sport routes and boulder problems as well as the climbing wall. The rubber is sticky but wears quickly, the fit is precise and the heel excellent. A specialist shoe but well worth a look!
