The Sol is officially retired. You've found a page of history! The Sol is no longer produced by Boreal and it is not available to buy from major online retailers. You can still check out all the specs and claim your ownership.
The Boreal Sol is a fantastic all-round shoe suited to those with lower volume feet. If you need a slim fit, but prefer the convenience of an strap closure, Sol could be the shoe for you.
The Sol features our Slim Fit Last™ specifically designed for the contours of a lower volume foot. A simple dual strap closure is quick to take on or off, and the high-quality split leather upper combined with the PU Air Net™ padded lining provides exceptional comfort. The low tension IRS™ (Integrated Rand System) heel is a one-piece heel unit which securely holds the heel without any pressure points.
An EVA anti-shock layer under the heel gives extra cushioning. The medium stiffness midsole combines with the sticky and durable FS Quattro™ rubber for the ideal blend of edging support and long-lasting friction. Sol is a fantastic all-rounder, suited to sport climbing, training and long routes. For anyone with a slim foot, Sol can give the confidence to climb longer and harder thanks to its superior fit.

PU Air Net for ventilation and comfort
The Sol is designed as a comfortable women’s (narrow, lowvolume) shoe. It sports a flat, asymmetric last, leather upper, 4 to 4.6mm FS QUATTRO, and stiff midsole. The upper’s PU Air Net lining ventilates ably, and the padded heel is the final brushstroke of comfort. Testers found the Sol best at edging, cracks, and multi-pitch, but one made it her primary bouldering shoe, citing the cushioned heel and easy Velcro (two straps) entry. Rather than super- high performance, you can expect the Sol to do any job well. Ideal for narrow, low-volume feet.
