The North Machine is a lightweight technical tool designed with the most ambitious alpinist in mind. Made of aerospace composite with the stout Mix blade that is 4.2 mm and designed for hooking on both ice and rock. The North Machine's carbon composite shaft offers no compromise over quality allowing greater strength and rigidity. This is made possible by the type of reinforcement and the orientation of the carbon fibers. The North Machine is delivered with the Mix Blade and it also accepts the optional Ice Blade.

The main climbing gear certifications are CE and UIAA--and normally the UIAA creates the rules that the CE body also supports. When possible, we try to list all the certifications the product carries.
To sell a climbing product in Europe, the device must be CE certified. There are no official requirements to sell climbing gear in the US. The UIAA certification is a voluntary process.
